Michael Davis Jr., a 42-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on July 3, 2022, in Kinston, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the 200 block of South Adkin Street. Davis was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to ECU Health in Greenville, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Kinston Police Department launched an investigation into the shooting, which was one of two fatal shootings that occurred in Kinston on the same day.
