Montereo Adams, a 29-year-old Black man, was tragically shot and killed on his birthday, July 17, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on East Independence Boulevard. Montereo was out celebrating his birthday when an assailant shot him multiple times. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported Montereo to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
