Susan Karnatz, a 49-year-old woman from Raleigh, North Carolina, tragically lost her life on October 13, 2022, in a mass shooting on the Neuse River Trail. Susan, a dedicated runner, was out for a seven-mile run when she was killed. She was a loving wife to Thomas Karnatz Jr. and a devoted mother to three boys, Malcolm , Oliver , and Everett .
