Khadijah Shantell Carney, a 21-year-old black woman, tragically lost her life on December 4, 2015, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was found in a car at the scene of a shooting on New Bern Avenue and Trawick Road. Khadijah was taken to WakeMed, where she succumbed to her injuries. Alongside her, Rakim Marquis Lofton, a 22-year-old man, was also found dead at the scene.
