Ainzargul Totakhil, a 40-year-old Afghan refugee, was tragically murdered on December 30, 2022, in Durham, North Carolina. Totakhil, who had risked his life to protect American troops in Afghanistan, was driving for Uber at the time of his death. His body was found in his car on Holloway Street, with multiple bullet holes indicating a drive-by shooting.
