Edgar Givens, better known by his stage name Pimp Daddy, was a prominent figure in the New Orleans hip-hop scene. Born in 1976, Givens was an 18-year-old African American male who made significant contributions to the genre of bounce music. On April 18, 1994, Givens was tragically shot and killed in the Florida Projects of New Orleans. The circumstances surrounding his death have been the subject of much speculation and investigation.
