In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans on September 24, 2010, a young man's life was cut short by gunfire. Mitchell C. 'Putha' Ricard IV, a 20-year-old African American male, was fatally shot, leaving behind a grieving family, including a young daughter. The incident was reported as a shooting victim being brought to the parking lot of a gas station in Algiers.
