James Adarryl Tapp Jr., better known by his stage name Soulja Slim, was a 26-year-old African American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on September 9, 1977, and grew up in the Magnolia Projects in New Orleans. Soulja Slim was known for his contributions to the hip-hop genre, particularly his work with No Limit Records and his posthumous hit "Slow Motion" with Juvenile.
