On a summer day in New Orleans, on June 20, 2009, Jessie Lee 'To-To' Reed, a 26-year-old African American male, was shot and killed in the 2300 block of Terpsichore Street. His death was not a random act of violence but rather a calculated execution tied to the city's criminal underworld. Reed's murder was part of a larger, violent narrative orchestrated by the notorious Hankton Organization, a gang deeply entrenched in drug trafficking and other violent crimes throughout the New Orleans area.
