In the winter of 2010, the life of 18-year-old Daymond Washington was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On the evening of Thursday, January 14, Washington was found shot to death outside an apartment complex, a victim of gun violence. He was a young male with his whole life ahead of him, and his sudden and violent death sent ripples of grief through his community.
