In a quiet Kenner, Louisiana suburb, a devastating scene unfolded, leaving a family shattered and a community in shock. On Tuesday, July 12, 2011, 12-year-old Kayla Peters was found deceased in her home. The young female was discovered alongside her younger sisters, one-year-old Nayah Peters and six-month-old Nyla Peters, and their 29-year-old mother, Nadia Braxton. All four had been fatally shot.
