A 49 year old man is hit by a car in Stephenson County, IL
Jeffrey William Hammer, a 49-year-old resident of Shannon, Illinois, died on September 27, 2008, in what was reported as a homicide in Stephenson County. The circumstances surrounding his death indicate that he was struck by a vehicle on South Bolton Road. Witnesses reported that Hammer was lying in the northbound lane when he was struck a second time by a dark green vehicle that subsequently fled the scene.
