Abner Garcia, a 23-year-old Army veteran, was killed in Chicago on August 13, 2016, a mile from his home. Abner served in the U.S. Army and was deeply involved in his community through The Mission Continues and the Urban Warriors program at the YMCA, where he mentored at-risk youth.
