On December 25, 2016, James K. Gill, an 18-year-old, was tragically killed in a shooting in Chicago, Illinois. James, along with his older brother Roy Gill III, was shot on Christmas Day while standing on a porch. The two brothers were among multiple victims of a violent attack that occurred during a holiday gathering, which turned into a deadly scene. James was pronounced dead at the site of the incident, while his brother Roy also lost his life.
