In the cold, early hours of a late January day in New Orleans, the life of Derrick Howard Jr., a 25-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On January 26, 2012, he was discovered inside a white Nissan pick-up truck, the victim of a fatal shooting. The vehicle was located in the 2600 block of D'Abadie Street, nestled in the city's 7th ward, a detail that painted a stark and somber picture of his final moments. An obituary published for him stated that he passed away on January 25, 2012.
