On a Sunday morning in March 2013, the body of 33-year-old Herman 'Peanut' Jones Jr. was discovered in an industrial area of Chalmette, Louisiana. A passerby found the man, who had been shot multiple times, at approximately 7:30 a.m. on March 17th. Authorities from the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office reported that Jones appeared to have been deceased for several hours before he was found near the New Orleans line off Paris Road.
