In a quiet duplex in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of a promising young woman. Mia Katherine Trahan, a 25-year-old female, was found dead on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Her life, filled with the ambition of caring for others as a nursing student, was brought to a sudden and violent end.
