In March of 2014, the Shreveport, Louisiana community was shaken by the discovery of two individuals who had been fatally shot. Rajean George, a 16-year-old female, was found deceased inside a residence on Weinstock Street. At the time of her death, George had been reported as a runaway from Bossier City, with her missing person information having been circulated in the months prior.
Alongside Rajean George, authorities also discovered the body of 22-year-old Nikko Taylor.
Both victims had succumbed to gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. The investigation into the double homicide began as law enforcement officials processed the scene for evidence. One of the initial leads in the case was the report of Taylor's missing vehicle, a green 1997 Pontiac Sunfire. The car was later located by investigators at the intersection of Merwin and Hassett streets and was taken in to be processed for any potential evidence that could lead to a break in the case.
In the immediate aftermath of the discovery, the Shreveport Police Department had not yet identified any suspects in the killings of Rajean George and Nikko Taylor. Authorities appealed to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information, regardless of how minor it might seem, to come forward and contact Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers. Despite the initial investigation and the public's help, information regarding any arrests, charges, or progression to a trial in the years following the deaths of Rajean George and Nikko Taylor has not been made publicly available. The case has seemingly gone cold, leaving the question of who was responsible for the tragic deaths unanswered in the public record.
