On March 19, 2014, 62-year-old Alfred Hill was fatally shot in Amite, Louisiana. His sister, 63-year-old Daryl Lynn Hill, was arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with his death. During the investigation, authorities discovered $421,000 in counterfeit cash at the scene.
