Damona Moore, a 38-year-old African American male, was shot and killed on August 10, 2020. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Driftwood Lane in Amite, Louisiana.

Authorities from the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the shooting. Their investigation quickly led to the arrest of a suspect.
