Karen Denise Johnson, a 41-year-old African American woman from Shreveport, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on April 7, 2014. She died from a gunshot wound to her upper body at a home on Valley View Drive. The incident occurred around 9 p.m., and police responded to a shots fired call on Redbud Lane shortly after. Upon arrival, officers found Karen Denise Johnson lying under the carport of the home. Witnesses reported hearing a woman screaming followed by a gunshot.
