On the morning of August 22, 2014, Marlon Bennett, a 38-year-old male, was found shot to death in his Marrero, Louisiana, home. The grim discovery was made by Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies who were dispatched to his residence at 2504 Oregon Drive in response to a report of a shooting. The investigation that followed suggested a violent home invasion.
