Stefan Lemelle, a 35-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 4, 2014, in Sunset, Louisiana. The incident occurred on East Martin Luther King Drive, where Lemelle was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Despite the efforts of the responding officers to perform CPR, Lemelle succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
