On May 5, 2022, at approximately 11:45 a.m., New Orleans Police Department First District officers conducted a wellness check in the 1900 block of Saint Ann Street. Inside an apartment, they discovered 48-year-old Edward Moore, an African American male, unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the incident, the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office identified the victim as Edward Moore. Through their investigation, NOPD Homicide
