Kendrick Lawrence, a 34-year-old African American male from Sunset, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on March 25, 2019. Kendrick, affectionately known as "Coppee," was found shot in the chest on East Martin Luther King Drive in Sunset. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause of death, but it was clear that the gunshot wound was fatal.
