Jed Howard, a 46-year-old Black man, was killed in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 11, 2015, in a crime that seemed designed to erase itself. Early reports from local media described him being shot at his home in the 8200 block of Wildbriar Drive, with his black Saturn taken in the same violent sweep, as if the killer wanted distance as quickly as possible.
