Sanguis was last seen on the morning of Friday, October 16, 2015, leaving his residence in the 2600 block of Gravier Street on foot. His destination was unknown, and as the hours turned into days, concern for his well-being grew, particularly as it was known that he suffered from depression.

Following their examination, the coroner officially classified his death as a suicide.
