On November 13, 2015, Charles "Charley" Barney Sr., a 33-year-old African American male from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, tragically lost his life to gun violence. He was the beloved son of Rene Barney and Charles E. Williams, and the fiancé of Tracie Thomas. Charley was a devoted father to his two sons, Charles Barney Jr. and Jaden Barney.
