On a summer evening in New Orleans, 40-year-old Eric Henry was fatally wounded by gunfire on July 1, 2016. The shooting occurred in the 8900 block of Marks Street, a residential area in the city. Henry sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. His death was one of several homicides investigated by the New Orleans Police Department during a violent period in the city.
