In the summer of 2016, the life of 55-year-old Kevin S. Foots Sr. was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans. On the evening of Thursday, July 7, 2016, police were called to the 4500 block of Jasmine Street where they discovered Foots inside a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
