On July 14, 2016, 23-year-old African American male Khelif Hicks was fatally shot in Shreveport, Louisiana. Shreveport Police responded to a call around 4:00 a.m. in the 1100 block of Airport Drive, where they discovered Hicks deceased inside a bullet-riddled SUV. Another African American male, 23-year-old Jeno Crawford, was also found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
