Melvin Green, age 38, was killed on March 16, 2017, while serving time at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, Ohio. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Melvin was attacked by another inmate, which resulted in severe head injuries. Despite being taken to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after. The incident is currently classified as a homicide, but the identity of the assailant has not yet been made public.
