In the late summer of 2016, the life of 31-year-old Rodney Ford, a male resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. On the evening of September 10th, Ford was involved in a fatal shooting that stemmed from what authorities believe was an argument. The incident resulted in Ford sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, and despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
In the days following the shooting, the Shreveport Police Department identified Dennis Upshaw as the
primary suspect in Rodney Ford's death. As the investigation progressed and an arrest warrant was issued, Upshaw ultimately surrendered to law enforcement officials. Following his surrender, he was formally charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Rodney Ford. The case then moved into the hands of the Caddo Parish judicial system for further legal proceedings.
