Joe McKnight, a 28-year-old African American male and former NFL running back, was tragically killed on December 1, 2016, in Gretna, Louisiana. The incident occurred during a road rage confrontation with Ronald Gasser, a 56-year-old white male. The altercation began with aggressive driving on a New Orleans bridge and escalated when both drivers exited the highway.
