In the winter of 2017, the life of 38-year-old Orkinus Hicks, a male resident of Monroe, Louisiana, was cut short by an act of violence. On the evening of January 12th, Hicks was fatally wounded by gunfire. The incident prompted an investigation by the Monroe Police Department, who treated the case as a homicide.
