In the late hours of a Saturday in Shreveport, Louisiana, a dispute tragically escalated, claiming the life of Bryan DeSean Stewart, a 23-year-old African American man. On February 4, 2017, in the Queensborough neighborhood, Stewart was involved in a heated verbal altercation with another man.
