In the early morning hours of February 8, 2017, the life of 18-year-old Kendarrius Henderson, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. Henderson was seated in a parked vehicle with two acquaintances outside a residence on North Emerald Loop when a sense of normalcy was shattered by gunfire.
