Demarkius Jackson, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 7, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of East David Drive and Martin Luther King Boulevard, just blocks away from Southeastern Louisiana University.
