In the spring of 2017, the life of a young Shreveport man was tragically cut short, leaving a family to mourn and a community to wonder. Carlos Dewayne Taylor Jr., a 23-year-old male, was fatally wounded by gunfire on the evening of Tuesday, April 11, 2017. The incident that claimed his life unfolded in the Caddo Heights neighborhood, a community that would become the backdrop to a sorrowful and unresolved chapter.
