In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans on July 29, 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening, leaving a man fatally wounded. The victim was later identified as 37-year-old Calvin Curtis. Reports from the scene suggested that Curtis was the victim of a drive-by shooting.

Emergency services responded to the incident, but despite their efforts, Curtis succumbed to his injuries. The Orleans Parish Coroner's office confirmed his identity and the cause of death as a result of the shoot ...
