In the light of a broad daylight October day in New Orleans, tragedy struck when 34-year-old Clarence Johnson was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Annette Street, cutting Johnson's life short in a sudden act of violence.

The investigation into the shooting led the New Orleans Police Department to identify a teenage suspect. Nas Jackson, 17 years old at the time, became the focus of the homicide case. Authorities connected him to the shooting death of Johnson.
