Jywuan Butler, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 17, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jywuan, who had relocated from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, was fatally shot during a home invasion. On the night of the incident, two masked men entered his home through an unlocked window with the intent to rob him and his 17-year-old brother.
