In a tragic turn of events on November 6, 2017, Krystle Landor, a 28-year-old African American woman from the New Orleans area, lost her life in a violent encounter with her ex-boyfriend. The series of events that led to her death began when she called 911 to report that 36-year-old John Malveaux, against whom she had a restraining order, was near her home.
