On a tragic evening in Abbeville, Louisiana, the life of 14-year-old Dylan DeShawn Plowden was cut short. It was around 7:30 p.m. on December 19, 2017, when the sounds of gunfire pierced the air near the intersection of Schlessinger Street and Vernon Street. Responding to the reports, an officer from the Abbeville Police Department discovered the young male lying in the road, bleeding profusely from multiple gunshot wounds.
