On a Saturday evening in New Orleans, 31-year-old Terrence Brigalia, a Black male, was found fatally wounded. The New Orleans Police Department reported that he had been shot multiple times in Algiers. The incident that led to his death on January 20, 2018, unfolded at an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Garden Oaks Drive.
Responding to a call just before 7 p.m., officers discovered Brigalia inside a silver car, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. A preliminary investigation suggested that an argument had preceded the shooting.
Within days, the investigation led to the arrest of a 15-year-old male. The teenager was taken into custody on January 23, 2018, at the NOPD's juvenile processing center.
