In the quiet neighborhoods of New Orleans, a story of violence and unresolved questions began to unfold on a summer day in 2018. Kevin Anthony Mitchell Sr., a 56-year-old African American man, was found dead on Monday, June 18, 2018. His life was cut short by gunfire, his body discovered inside an unoccupied home in the Upper 9th Ward of the city.
