In the quiet community of Marrero, Louisiana, the evening of June 19, 2018, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 41-year-old Damond Taylor. The incident, a brutal double shooting, also resulted in the death of 38-year-old Nolan Ryan. Both men were found inside a silver car that had crashed into a utility pole in the 1300 block of an otherwise unremarkable street. They had each sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
