Benorian Leonard, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2018, in Carencro, Louisiana. The incident occurred late at night, around 11:47 p.m., when Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Lindsey Circle. Benorian Leonard was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial reports indicated that the shooting was a homicide, and the investigation was promptly initiated by the authorities.
