In the spring of 2018, Carnandez A. Davis, a 17-year-old male from New Orleans, Louisiana, became a father to a baby boy. He had big dreams for his future, hoping for a family and a successful career as a rap artist. His aspirations, however, were tragically cut short on July 5, 2018.
On that Thursday, Carnandez was shot. Wounded, he ran to the nearby home of his 11-year-old cousin for help. The young relative answered the door and immediately went to get assistance for Carnandez.
Despite the swift efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
At the time of his death, Carnandez was a student who had been educated through the New Orleans Public Schools, HPSD, Kipp, and the Youth Teen Challenge program. He was known for his love of music and for 'clowning around with his peers.' He was survived by his infant son, his mother, father, two brothers, and his devoted companion. The investigation into the shooting death of Carnandez Davis remains without any publicly identified suspects or arrests.
