In the early morning hours of August 8, 2018, the life of 24-year-old Rodney D. Richards of Natchitoches, Louisiana, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. Richards, a male, was a passenger in a Nissan sedan driven by his friend, 24-year-old Cordarious Cortez Smith. The two men were reportedly leaving a home music studio in the Payne Sub-Division off of Louisiana Highway 6 East in the Grand Ecore area. It was then that their vehicle was ambushed.
